It is highly recommended for everyone to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. But here’s what I’m thinking, what if we drink more than that?
Benefits of drinking plenty of water. Drinking plenty of water will really help cleanse our bodies. It washes off the toxins in our system. It also helps in avoiding the formation of stones in our body caused by deposits of salt that we obtain from different kinds of food we eat. We all know that our bodies consist of 50% to 70% water so drinking plenty of water will help in maintaining the water content that our body needs. Water is also a significant factor in the transport of nutrients to our body’s cells and tissues.
Some may not believe it but it is a proven fact that water can be a good tool for losing weight. The main reason behind this is that if we use water as a replacement for juice, soda or alcohol, then we will definitely get rid of obtaining too much calories from these drinks. Water is also a good appetite suppressant. Sometimes, we often mistaken the feeling of thirst as being hungry. So instead of gulping too much solids that may bring lots of harmful elements to our bodies, drink plenty of water. Remember, water has zero calories, zero fat, zero sugar and zero carbs.
Water also prevents our bodies from being dehydrated. Dehydration saps the energy out of our bodies and this can lead to fatigue and weakness of the muscles. Drinking water prevents our bodies from being dehydrated as we face our day to day tasks.
So here’s a simple suggestion. Try to drink at least 3 glasses of water every meal. Then make it a habit to drink at least 1 to 2 glasses of water every 2 hours and soon you will reap the great benefits of drinking plenty of water. Let’s form the water habit and lead healthier lives.
