They also help lower bad LDL cholesterol to avoid clotting of arteries, atherosclerosis, stroke and heart attack.

The antioxidants you get from drinking pomegranate juice help fight certain types of cancer such as skin cancer, prostate cancer and breast cancer. You can also lower your blood pressure by as much as 5% by drinking at least 1.7oz. of pomegranate juice daily. Pomegranate also contains antibacterial compounds that help prevent dental plaque. You can get your 40% recommended daily dose of Vitamin C from a single fruit of pomegranate. It also contains other vitamins like Vitamin A, E and even folic acid. Green tea and red wine are good sources of antioxidants too but if you want to have more, you may want to consider eating pomegranate fruit or drinking the juice because its antioxidant level is 3 times higher.
