How to Avoid Typhoid Fever

Typhoid fever is a dangerous disease caused by a bacterium called Salmonella typhi. A person can have typhoid fever if he happens to eat food or drink beverages that are contaminated with the Salmonella Typhi.

A person afflicted with typhoid fever is in great danger that can lead to death. Humans can only be the carriers of Salmonella Typhi. The bacteria are carried through the bloodstream and intestinal tract. There are cases that a person who recovered from typhoid fever can still be carrier of the bacteria. The symptoms of typhoid fever include continuous high fever, headache, nausea, constipation or diarrhea and hoarse cough.

Basically there are two ways on how to avoid typhoid fever. First, it would do you no harm if you are cautious of what you eat and drink especially in places where you are not familiar with. Another way on how to avoid typhoid fever is to get vaccinated against the disease.

    A few workers in our area got Salmonella poisoning. It is a good thing that they did not die and they have fully recovered. |

    This is a disease that can affect people for many years. Everything you can do to avoid getting it should be done.
