How to Treat Candidiasis

A yeast called Candida also known as Candida Albicans causes Candidiasis. Before you learn how to treat candidiasis or yeast infection, you might as well learn first what are the factors that can cause the disease. These factors include wearing tight clothes that cause humidity, wearing swimsuits or training suits for long periods of time, hormonal disturbances during pregnancy or when undergoing steroid therapy, high glucose in urine, drugs like oral contraceptives, long periods of taking antibiotics, transmission from partner and poor hygiene.

It will be easier how to treat candidiasis or yeast infection if you are aware of the symptoms so that you can determine proper treatment at the early stage. Common symptoms include itching and irritation, soreness, a white curd-like discharge and pain while urinating. Exfoliated skin and congested female genitals may also be the results of some clinical examinations.

The following could be very helpful on how to treat candidiasis or yeast infection. Be wary of the chemicals you use in cleaning your genitals. Avoid yeast containing foods because you will be predisposed to yeast infection. Make sure you will not be prone to diabetes. If you already have the symptoms, let your partner be treated too.

The best thing to do to treat yeast infection is to eat yogurt. It contains bacteria that can help eliminate yeast. You may also want to try taking lactobacillus supplements.
